The Sentinelese are can be introduced as one of a very few remaining uncontacted tribes in the world, they are the most isolated tribe in the world .This particular tribe living on North Sentinal Island close to Andaman Islands which is located in the Indian Ocean. They determined to reject all contact with outsiders. Scientists have estimated population to be 15 - 400 peoples. They are relatively short people about 1.6 meters tall. Scientists recorded their skin color as dark shiny black color with strong muscles. Sentinelese are hunter-gatherers and they use of bows and arrows and spears to hunt down animals.
In the 19th century British navy officer Maurice Vidal Portman contacted with this indigenous people.
This isolated island is administrated by the Government of India. In 1997 government decided to stop visits to the island. The main reason is the isolation of island. If outsiders come in contact with these people, they may become ill due to lack of immunity to outside diseases. On the other hand Sentinelese do not welcome outsiders at all, which means they are ready to kill any outsider even if they are not threatened.
